Tortoises beside a pool at the A Cupulatta park

The venue

A park dedicated to tortoises and turtles, presenting one of the largest collections in Europe. Established in 1998 in Vero, Corse-du-Sud, near Ajaccio, A Cupulatta is devoted to breeding, studying and protecting land and freshwater turtles from all over the world.

On a 2.5-hectare natural site beside a river, the park brings together more than 3,000 animals of 130 species. The areas are organised by major regions of the world: the Americas, Africa, Asia and the Mediterranean. The visit offers a close look at a wide variety of species and a better understanding of what is at stake in their conservation, in a setting where local wildlife and plants are preserved.

For groups : The park welcomes groups, whether schools, leisure centres, associations or groups of friends, with preferential rates set on request according to group size and the time of the visit. These rates include a visit accompanied by the park's specialists, who adapt their explanations to the participants' age. Parking is free.
