The venue

The coronation cathedral of the kings of France, a jewel of Gothic art. From the 11th century onwards, Reims’ Cathédrale Notre-Dame hosted almost all the coronations of the kings of France. Its construction began in the early 13th century and was completed in the 14th century.

It is one of the major achievements of Gothic art in France, both for its architecture and for its sculpture, which numbers 2,303 statues. Severely damaged by a fire caused by shelling during the First World War, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. It is one of the great tourist sites of Champagne.

For groups : The tourist office, opposite the cathedral, offers a one-and-a-half-hour guided tour in French, English or German, and has a department dedicated to groups. The cathedral towers can be discovered on a tour led by the monument's staff; for adult groups, it is offered from 20 paying adults, with advance professional ticketing that provides discounts and priority access.
