The venue
An educational centre dedicated to food and the environment. Opened in 2005 at the northern entrance to Arras, this science museum focuses in particular on the secrets of food, science and nature.
Housed in a converted former industrial site, it has permanent and temporary exhibition spaces as well as 15,000 m² of gardens on the banks of the Scarpe. The venue is part of a leisure hub that also includes the L’Aquarena aquatic centre. For groups, especially school groups, the visit connects science with everyday questions: what we eat and how we live with our environment.
For groups : Cité Nature welcomes school groups, specialised organisations and groups of adults and seniors, for self-guided or guided visits adapted to their level. The guided tour lasts 45 minutes to an hour, and it is advisable to allow at least one more hour to explore the exhibitions on your own. Age-appropriate activities lasting 30 minutes to an hour can complete the visit. Bookings are made by telephone, email or online form, preferably several weeks in advance for workshops and activities.
