The entrance and gardens of the Musée Lalique, in Wingen-sur-Moder

The venue

Temporarily closed: the museum is currently closed; reopening announced for 28 November 2026.

Museum devoted to the work of René Lalique and the art of glass and crystal. Opened in July 2011 in Wingen-sur-Moder, in the Bas-Rhin department, it is the only museum in Europe specifically dedicated to Lalique. Its building, designed by the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, was chosen for how well it blends into the landscape.

The exhibition presents some 650 pieces by the master glassmaker and jeweller and his successors: jewellery, glassware and perfume bottles. It also covers his work for ocean liners, cars and trains. The museum regularly holds temporary exhibitions on the world of Lalique.

For groups : Groups can visit the museum independently, with texts in French, English and German, or take a 1 hour 30 minute guided tour of the permanent collections. 20-minute presentations are also offered: on the museum or on the Hochberg glassworks site, in the auditorium for up to 80 people, and on the temporary exhibition for up to 20 people. Visits are booked on quotation with the museum’s booking service.
