Fish in a large tank at the Océarium du Croisic

The venue

An aquarium presenting marine life, from the Atlantic to the tropics. Located near the port of Le Croisic, 400 metres from the sea, the Océarium is one of the largest private aquariums in France.

Covering 1,700 m², it is home to more than 4,000 animals in 56 tanks. It welcomes more than 250,000 visitors a year, making it one of the most visited sites in Loire-Atlantique. The visit reveals the diversity of marine life, from species of the Atlantic coasts to those of warm seas. The site is in Le Croisic, at the tip of the Guérande peninsula, so it can be combined with a visit to the port and the coastline.

For groups : Groups visit on their own or, from 20 people and by reservation, with a guide who leads a one-hour guided tour, for a total visit of two hours. In July and August, guided tours take place only in the morning. A 12-space car park is reserved for coaches, and the recommended route to get there follows the Côte Sauvage.
