The venue
Vast floral park with free-flying butterflies and themed gardens. Created in 1963 in the La Source district of Orléans, it covers 35 hectares and holds the “Jardin remarquable” label. The Loiret river rises here, at the Bouillon spring.
The park is divided between the Sologne plateau, wooded with oaks and hornbeams, and the Loire Valley plain, devoted to flowers. Visitors discover the iris garden with some 900 varieties, the Miroir rose garden, the dahlia garden, the kitchen garden and the exotic butterfly house. Aviaries and animal enclosures complete the walk.
For groups : Booking is compulsory for groups of 15 or more: a pre-booking request is sent through a form for groups, associations and coach operators, after which the park sends a quote and a confirmation form. Groups are welcome throughout the opening season. Private guided tours of the park can be requested from the Orléans tourist office, and food is available on site.
