The venue
A route through the prestigious Burgundy vineyards, with cellar visits. Created in 1937, the Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne covers some sixty kilometres between Dijon and Santenay and passes through thirty-eight wine villages of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. It is nicknamed the “Champs-Élysées of Burgundy”.
Famous names follow one another along the way: Gevrey-Chambertin, Vougeot and its clos, Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Pommard, Volnay, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Beaune is home to the Hospices de Beaune and the Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne. A historic route, regarded as one of the beginnings of wine tourism.
For groups : The group service of the Beaune tourist office puts groups in touch with professional local guides, for a guided tour of the Côte viticole or to accompany a day trip. It also advises groups on arranging tastings with winegrowers along the Route des Grands Crus.
