The venue
Château and outstanding landscaped park, devoted to gardens and botany. Built in the late 19th century in Saint-Goazec by James de Kerjégu, the château blends Victorian and neo-Gothic styles with Breton decorative features. It was equipped with the latest technology of the time: a lift, central heating and electricity.
Damaged by bombing in 1944, the estate was bought in 1968 by the Finistère departmental council, which restored it. Its 85-hectare park, awarded the “Jardin remarquable” label, includes gardens, fountains, ponds, a kitchen garden and greenhouses. The whole estate is a listed historic monument and holds the “20th-century Heritage” label.
For groups : Adult groups can take the guided tour « Le parc au fil du temps », offered from May to October and lasting about 1 hour 30 minutes, on reservation with the estate’s booking service. Groups can also visit the estate independently. The site has a car park and a bar, and it is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
