Trip description
Forests, lakes and vine-covered hillsides: the Forêt d’Orient Regional Nature Park and the Côte des Bar are ideal for group walking. This trip takes you from the cadoles of Les Riceys, dry-stone winegrowers’ shelters, to the shores of the Orient and Amance lakes, with a guided walk through the medieval centre of Troyes.

Welcome drink and presentation of the stay.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Departure for Mussy-sur-Seine, in the footsteps of the Resistance fighters.
Hike on the Commandant Nicolas trail, in the heart of the forest that sheltered nearly 850 Resistance fighters in the summer of 1944.
Packed lunch during the hike.
Experienced walkers: about 20 km
Leisure walkers: about 14.5 km
Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.
Departure for Les Riceys, a famous wine village in Champagne.
Hike on the Cadoles trail: cadoles are small dry-stone huts once used by winegrowers as shelter in the vineyards.
Experienced walkers: about 22 km
Leisure walkers: about 14.5 km
Lunch at a restaurant.
In the afternoon, hike in the Chaource area, followed by a visit to an artisan cheese dairy. Discover how the famous Chaource is made (ladle-moulded), followed by a tasting.
Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
In the morning, hike from Mesnil-Saint-Père to discover the landscapes of the Lac d’Orient, between forests, beaches and unspoilt natural areas.

Lunch at the hotel.
Free afternoon: enjoy the natural setting of the Lac d’Orient. Option to board the Bateau Ivre for a discovery cruise on the lake. Those who wish can also relax at the hotel and enjoy the wellness area: heated indoor pool, spa, sauna and solarium.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Departure for Troyes, the former historic capital of Champagne.
In the morning, guided urban walk through the medieval centre: half-timbered lanes, the Cathédrale Saint‑Pierre‑et‑Saint‑Paul, the nine churches and the Maison de l’Outil.
Lunch at a restaurant.
Free afternoon (without guide) to enjoy the factory outlet shops of Troyes.
Return to the hotel. At the end of the day, access to the hotel’s fitness and wellness area.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Departure for the Lac d’Amance, a remarkable natural site in the Forêt d’Orient Regional Natural Park.
Hike around the lake across dykes, forests and natural areas where many bird species can be observed: swans, ducks, grebes and other migratory birds.
