Trip description
Discover the Aravis range from the Hôtel-Restaurant Les Sapins! The destination is a favourite with walkers for its pastoral landscapes, mountain pasture chalets, wildlife (marmots, chamois, ibex) and sweeping views straight onto the Mont Blanc massif!

The group arrives late morning in one of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps: Manigod.
Check-in at the 4**** hotel. Lunch.
In the afternoon, hike through the green mountain pastures of the Plateau de Beauregard, where pastoral life is still very much alive.
This beautiful spot has preserved its old traditional chalets and its Saint-Jacques oratory. From the summit, panoramic view of the Mont Blanc and Aravis massifs.
Return to the hotel around 5:30 pm. Dinner and overnight stay.

Departure from the hotel after breakfast with your guide for a panoramic tour of the Aravis: Le Grand-Bornand, the village with as many cows as inhabitants, and La Clusaz, on a guided route presenting the different facets of these famous ski resorts.
Late morning, drive to the Col des Aravis (1,487 m). At the foot of the Aravis range, it is also the link between Savoie and Haute-Savoie.
Lunch at the hotel, then the “Refuge de la Bombardellaz” hike.
This hike starts above the Lac des Confins in La Clusaz and continues at the foot of the Aravis range and its magnificent combes: Grand Crêt, Paccaly, Tardevant…
All the way to the Refuge de la Bombardellaz, the landscape alternates between forest and mountain pastures. At the highest point, there is a clear view over the Grand-Bornand valley, the Tournette massif and the Plateau des Glières. This unspoilt place will win you over with the beauty of its natural heritage and the richness of its history and traditions.
Savoyard dinner and overnight stay.

Departure after breakfast for the capital of mountaineering: Chamonix.
Our route will take us through Praz-sur-Arly and Megève, the renowned resort…
Rack railway ride up to the Montenvers site (1,913 m), where you can admire the Mer de Glace and its prestigious peaks.
Lunch. Return to the Col de la Croix Fry via Le Reposoir to catch a glimpse of the Carmelite monastery.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast and drive to the Plateau des Glières. Magnificent hike on the Plateau des Glières, a key site of the French Resistance.
The morning is devoted to the southern part of the plateau: the Plaine de Dran with its pretty Notre-Dame-des-Neiges chapel, and the Pas du Loup.
Traditional lunch at a restaurant.
In the afternoon: exploration of the northern part, with the Resistance fighters’ chalets and the national Resistance monument.
This plateau is an exceptional place, as much for its flora and fauna as for its history.
Dinner with entertainment by Christophe PESSEY: a great atmosphere guaranteed! Overnight stay.

Breakfast, then descent from the Col de la Croix Fry to visit a farm. The Aravis valley is the capital of Reblochon cheese: we will offer you a visit to a farm, with a tasting at the end of the visit.
Return to Les Sapins for lunch. End of services.
