Trip description
Auvergne abounds in cultural, architectural and natural treasures, from Romanesque art to medieval towns and volcanic heritage. Over five days, this group trip offers a comprehensive overview: the Château d’Auzers, a cruise on the Dordogne, Clermont-Ferrand, Saint-Nectaire and its petrifying fountains, Lake Pavin and the medieval town of Besse.

Visit to the Château d’Auzers, a jewel of Auvergne architecture.
Lunch at the château.
We then board Les Vedettes Panoramiques for a short cruise discovering the valley and the wild gorges of the Dordogne.
Return to the hotel and dinner.

Visit to the iconic L’Aventure Michelin in Clermont-Ferrand, to discover the story of the two visionary brothers.
Lunch at a restaurant in town.
Discovery of the historic centre of Clermont-Ferrand.
You will also enjoy some free time to explore the town and its shops.
Return to the hotel and dinner.
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for the village of Saint-Nectaire and visit to its exceptional church perched on top of Mont Cornadore.
Then discovery of the Fontaines Pétrifiantes (petrifying springs), a surprising natural masterpiece.
Lunch at the hotel restaurant.
Then we will go and discover Lac Pavin.
Next, visit to the medieval village of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise, a historic trading place.
Return to the hotel and dinner.
